Boston Children's Hospital (BCH) is firmly committed to safeguarding the health and safety of researchers, the pubic and the environement. The BCH Insitutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) provides oversight of all research activities involving recombinant or synthetic nucleic acids, biological agents, toxins of biological origins, human and non human primate materials. The IBC ensures that all such research is conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, and institutional biosafety regulations and guidelines, with the goal of promoting a culture of safety, scientific integrity, and environmental responsibility throughout the BCH research community.
