Research Informatics (formerly known as Research Computing), led by Dr. Piotr Sliz, offers extensive support to the Boston Children's community in several key areas:

  • Data Science & Bioinformatics: Managing and analyzing biomedical data.
  • Genomics: Conducting data analysis and whole genome sequencing through the Children’s Rare Disease Collaborative (CRDC).
  • Clinical Research Informatics (CRIT): Providing assistance with electronic data capture, eConsent, cohort discovery, and honest broker patient-level data access.
  • IT Support: Offering Mac and PC support through the Pediatric Scholar Program.
  • Tools & Technologies: Providing access to a variety of commercial and open-source software (BioGrids), high-performance computing, cloud and CryoEM computing resources, and high-performance research storage.
  • BCH Library and Archives Program: Supporting research with extensive library and archival resources.
