The Clinical Research Center (CRC) provides high-quality, flexible, and efficient support to investigators and study teams throughout the start-up, execution, and completion of clinical research studies.
Our team consists of clinical research professionals with diverse backgrounds and expertise, including study coordinators, project managers, research nurses and nurse practitioners, regulatory specialists, and data managers. CRC staff are available on a full-time, part-time, or ad-hoc basis through a fee-for-service model, offering support to investigators across the BCH research community.
The CRC supports all types of clinical research studies and phases of clinical trials, including PI-initiated, drug and device, behavioral health, tissue banks and repositories, and retrospective chart review studies.
Study visits can be conducted at the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) on either the Boston main campus or the Waltham campus, providing an optimal outpatient setting for efficient and effective clinical research. The CRU is staffed by an experienced team of clinical research nurses, research dietitians, lab technicians, Investigational Drug Service pharmacists, and administrative personnel who assist investigators with study start-up, execution of outpatient and inpatient study activities, data and specimen collection, and lab processing in the CRU core laboratory.
