Boston Children’s Hospital offers an outstanding environment for starting a career in the biomedical sciences. We are at the heart of Boston’s vibrant Longwood Medical Area, right next door to Harvard Medical School, where our physicians and scientists hold faculty appointments. Our research laboratories attract undergraduate students, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from around the world. There are also opportunities to join clinical research projects to gain experience in patient-oriented research.
Undergraduate students and postdocs typically apply directly to the principal investigator leading a research group or enter through a clinical fellowship training program. Students interested in obtaining PhD degrees must apply for admission through one of the Harvard life sciences graduate programs that includes faculty members on the Longwood campus (HILS link).
