With pilot funding from the Life Course Translational Research Network (LCT-RN), Drs. Arnett and Peisch are developing a preventative intervention aimed at reducing substance use in youth with ADHD. The goal of the study is to strengthen protective factors of the child and family, including parent-child communication, interpersonal skills, and adherence to ADHD treatment.  In the first stage, we developed materials and tested acceptability of the intervention with families, providers, and researchers. In this second phase, Drs. Arnett and Peisch will now be testing the feasibility and acceptability of the intervention in Middle School and High School students and their caregivers.
