Who can be in this study?

The Arnett Lab is recruiting children ages 11-13 and 15-17 years who have an ADHD diagnosis as well as their caregiver(s).

What does study participation involve?

Children and their caregivers will participate in a remote 4-week program to prevent substance use behaviors. To start, caregivers complete a short screening call. If a family is eligible and interested, caregivers and children will complete online surveys before and after participating in a 4-week program. For the first three weeks, children will join a 1-hour group zoom meeting with their peers, while caregivers join a 1-hour group zoom meeting with other caregivers. During the final, fourth session, each family will have a private 1-hour zoom meeting with the study team. One month after program completion, participants will complete another brief survey. Families will receive $200 ($100 for children, $100 for caregiver) as compensation.
