Xiaoqing Wang

Xiaoqing Wang, PhD

Xiaoqing Wang is an assistant professor of radiology at Harvard Medical School and a scientist in the department of radiology at Boston Children’s Hospital. He received his doctoral degree (Dr. rer. nat.) in physics from the Max Planck Institute and the University of Göttingen, Germany, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jens Frahm. Before joining Boston Children’s Hospital, he was a research fellow at the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital. He also previously served as a research scientist at University Medical Center Göttingen. Dr. Wang’s research focuses on motion-robust pulse sequence design, quantitative MRI, model-based image reconstruction, and their translational applications in fetal and pediatric MRI.

Guanxiong Luo

Guanxiong Luo

Guanxiong Luo received his BEng degree in biomedical engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an, China in 2017. In 2019, he received his and the MPhil degree from University of Hong Kong, HKSAR. And in 2024, his Dr. rer. nat. in computer science from Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Germany. He mainly focuses on computational imaging and inverse problems.

Moritz Blumenthal

Moritz Blumenthal

Moritz Blumenthal is a research fellow at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital. He earned his doctoral degree (Dr. rer. nat.) in mathematics from the University of Göttingen, Germany. In addition to his current position at Boston Children's, he is also a research fellow at the Institute of Biomedical Imaging at Graz University of Technology under the guidance of Prof. Martin Uecker. Dr. Blumenthal’s research focuses on various aspects of computational MRI, including deep learning–based reconstruction, Bayesian reconstruction with diffusion priors, model-based reconstruction, and efficient computational algorithms. His current work is focused on developing 3D motion-robust quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) reconstructions.

Clemente Velasco-Annis

Clemente Velasco-Annis

Clemente Velasco-Annis is a senior research study coordinator in the department of neurology at Boston Children’s Hospital and also supports our work in the department of radiology. He received a BS in biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2012. Since joining Boston Children’s Hospital in 2013, he has helped advance fetal MRI acquisition and analysis techniques and has worked on the testing and evaluation of automated brain segmentation methods for human brain MRI.
