Overview
Using adjuvant science to shape the future of human health, the AIDD (Adjuvant Innovation, Discovery, and Development) Laboratory, led by Dr. David Dowling at Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, pioneers adjuvant-centric approaches to enhance vaccine efficacy in vulnerable populations, such as infants and the elderly, where age-specific immune responses often limit protection. Our research elucidates mechanistic innate and adaptive immunity in a population-tailored manner, leveraging adjuvant discovery, synergy evaluations, and class comparisons to inform rational vaccine design, distinct from traditional antigen-focused strategies.
