Following judging by the members of the PCMM Scientific Advisory Board, the 2024 poster winners were:

  • Ninghe Sun (Zhang Lab), “Downregulation or inhibition of Clu and Cd38 in aged hematopoietic stem cells improves mitochondria function and alleviates aging-related functional decline”
  • Danni Zhu (Carroll Lab), “Exploring location-directed functions of CD11c in regulating B cell tolerance”
  • Zsolt Terdik (Wong Lab), “Single-molecule proteomics with nanoswitch calipers”
  • Ari Sarfatis (not pictured) & Yuanyou Wang (Moffitt Lab), “Highly Multiplexed Spatial Transcriptomics in Bacteria”
  • Alberto Marin-Gonzalez (Ha Lab), “Cohesin loop extrusion regulates chromatin scanning during homologous recombination”
  • Luochen Liu (Wu Lab), “LLPS-mediated regulation of pyrin inflammasome signaling”
  • Tiffany Hsu (Hur Lab), “Determining the pathogenicity of MDA5 autoantibodies in dermatomyositis”
  • Jin Gan (Ploegh Lab), “The development of ISG15-specific nanobodies”
  • Xiang Li (Alt Lab), “Linear RAG Scanning Mediates Editing of the Igk Variable Region Repertoires”
  • Anwesha Sanyal (Kirchhausen Lab), “Constitutive Endolysosomal Perforation in Neurons allows Induction of α-Synuclein Aggregation by Internalized Pre-Formed Fibrils”

Additionally, the PCMM Scientific Advisory Board determined the winner of the 2024 Jeffrey Modell Award was Paolo Cadinu (Moffitt Lab), “Inflammatory bowel disorder under the lens of genomic microscopy”.

Finally, here are the winners of the T-shirt crossword puzzle competition (thanks again to Tom Kirchhausen), whose labs will have a pizza party as a prize:

  • Qianlan Liu (Hur Lab)
  • Ari Sarfatis (Moffitt Lab)
  • Kai Xu (Alt Lab)

Congratulations to our winners, and special thanks to all poster presenters, whose work represents the heart of PCMM research at the retreat and year-round.
