Vanda Faria, PhD
Dr. Faria is a clinical psychologist with a background in neuroscience, and her research focuses on how expectations and emotions influence health and well-being. She studies placebo effects across different conditions, with particular interest in how beliefs and suggestions shape perception, symptom experience, and recovery. By combining experimental psychology with clinical research, and neuroscience, she aims to advance understanding of the mind–body connection and explore ethical ways to harness placebo effects in healthcare.
