Dr. Paydar-Darian's research interests are primarily focused on Quality Improvement and Patient Safety in the ED. As part of that, her prior projects have spanned several different topics and areas for improvement, including Sexual Assault care, Discharge Safety, and Behavioral Health management in the ED.
Research Background
Dr. Paydar-Darian attended Northwestern University and received a BA degree in Political Science and International Studies in 2005. After that, she received her MD from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University before starting residency in the Boston Combined Residency Program in Pediatrics in 2010. Following residency, she spent one year working as a Medical Surgical ICU Hospitalist before starting Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital. She joined the Division of Emergency Medicine faculty at Boston Children's Hospital in 2017.
