Research Overview

Dr. Mayer's research has encompassed several areas of cardiovascular surgery, including the short- and long-term outcome of the Fontan operation, cardiac transplantation, and tissue engineering of cardiac structures.

Research Background

John Mayer received his MD degree from the Yale University School of Medicine. He completed an internship, residency, and fellowship at the University of Minnesota Hospital & Clinics.
