Research Overview

Dr. Ganske is actively engaged in multiple research projects, and is primarily interested in investigating the prevalence and characteristics of various forms of syndromic cleft lip and palate, improving value in surgical care by optimizing outcomes and defining costs of care, and medically and surgically managing Parry-Romberg Syndrome (PRS), a rare craniofacial disorder characterized by progressive hemifacial atrophy.

Currently, Dr. Ganske is collaborating with the departments of Dermatology and Rheumatology at Boston Children’s Hospital to comprehensively assess progression/stabilization among patients exhibiting PRS symptomology through the use of 3D photogrammetric analysis, as well as retrospectively investigating the management and prognosis of patients with PRS over the past 40 years.

Research Background

Dr. Ganske graduated with a BA in architecture from Princeton University. She earned her MD from Harvard Medical School, and completed her Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery residency at Harvard Medical School. In addition to her residency, Dr. Ganske also completed a fellowship in Pediatric and Craniofacial Surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Ganske earned her MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
