Research Overview

Dr. Weldon's research focuses on the development of novel drug-delivery platforms. His work is conducted under the mentoring of Dr. Daniel Kohane, M.D., Ph.D, in the Department of Anesthesia.

Research Background

Dr. Weldon was born and raised in California, and then attended the University of Notre Dame, where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Pre-Professional Studies. After earning his undergraduate degree, he attended Tulane University Medical Schol, where he graduated in 1995. He then entered the Surgical Residency training program at Tulane Medical Center/Charity Hospital where he completed his General Surgery Residency and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship. While a resident he also received a Doctorate of Philosophy in Pharmacology from the Tulane University Graduate School. After these endeavors, he finished a Pediatric Surgery Fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital.
