The STEDYCON is a well designed super resolution STED which is capable of 30nm resolution. This system is also capable of 4 channel, simultaneous detection as a point scanning confocal and can use up to 2 STED channels (3 in special cases if truly needed). This system is excellent at higher resolution work and excellent at 2 channel co-localization experiments as no post-acquistion adjustments are needed with the colocalization experiments. Additionally we have built in Huygens software to rapidly deconvolve confocal and STED images. Note special dyes are needed to use the STED channels of this microscope. Please inquire with the CFIC if interested.

Compatible Dyes

1. Star Red (best results and resolution (30nm))
2. Star Orange (2nd best dye. Still very good results and good resolution (40-50nm))
3. Alexa 594 (Close to Star Orange performance and spectra)
4. Star Green (By far the worst of the usable dyes. It works, but only use if Star Red and or Orange cannot be used)
