Doug is a Staff Scientist in the Department of Cardiology and Vascular Biology Program at Boston Children's Hospital (BCH) and an Associate in Surgery at Harvard Medical School. He has extensive expertise in cardiovascular molecular and cellular biology as well as bioengineering. Doug received a B.Sc. in Honors Genetics from the University of Western Ontario in 1987. He then obtained M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Toronto in 1989 and 1994, respectively. Doug did a MRC-sponsored postdoctoral fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital and Toronto General Hospital before moving to BCH in 1998.
